  i believe i have completely freed myself from any borg influence yet i am drawn to this board.

  like many of you ,i lost my wife and family, but i don't believe i can do anything about that, and if i could, i doubt that it would be a kindness on my part to do so.

  I believe I have completely freed myself from any Borg influence yet I am drawn to this board. Like many of you ,I lost my wife and family, but I don't believe I can do anything about that, and if I could, I doubt that it would be a kindness on my part to do so. They have so much invested. I know from my own experience; raised from childhood, baptized at 17, and then faced with the awful realization at 48 that it was all bullshit and I had wasted my life a terrible emptiness and a whole gambit of emotions I had to deal with. It was no picnic . I believe I am alright now at 62 and reasonably sane. At least I think I am. In fact I know I am. I've got my doubts about you though So why do I come here? I am not a crusader although I have helped many ex's. I don't have any lingering doubts about whether it could be true. So why I ask myself what is the fascination ( rhetorical question). I think its because, although I have never met any of you, I can relate to, and understand you .There is a certain report a bond that only we share that those that have not experienced it. do not really understand. Your the only connection I have with a major part of my life. I know I could party with you guys and have a great time So here I am

  I've had car drivers look straight at me then pull out in front of me failing to give right of way. It's as though they were thinking " it's only a motorbike it can't hurt me" Never happened to me when I was driving my 10 ton tip truck though. I wonder why?

  Australian Football - wow and diffrent

  just recorded and watched my 2nd grand final between collingwood and st.k.. first i want to start with the diffrents:..... last week they tied, in us football ties fo to overtime.

  these guys re-play the game the week after.. seconnd - the wow......... these guys are not using any protection and there is quite a bit of physical contact, it takes a man to put up with that non-stop.

  these guys are constantly running/bumping/kicking/swatting................. cool.

  The new house...

  well, time for an update.... new house is in the country, just over an hour out of the city.

  we came up and camped in the new house on settlement night...much to the shock of the real estate agent who thought we were joking!

  i mean, it does need some work, and the plumbing is dodgy but works, the bathroom has all the pipes exposed and the toilet is akin to sitting in an old shed.... any way, we stay and a friend loaded up the truck saturday night and delivered our furniture sunday morning, it was not a rest saturday though as the place resembled a rubbish tip.

  I would like to point out that not all sexual abusers are male some are female and it's more common than we would like to believe. My son told me this. He works as a psychologist in a prison where many of the inmates were sexually abused by their own mothers. Mind you the mothers did not consider it abuse just giving their son an education.

  How do you deal with shunning ?

  my wife and i da'ed ourselves two years ago.

  she left because she felt there was no forward momentum in the congregation.. me: because i really started to notice the lack of love and concern amoungst "true christians".

  we have gotten to the point now where we will say hello to any jw's we run into, but the total avoidance thing is starting to get somewhat creepy to me.. example : my wife was in target several weeks ago, put her items on the belt and was getting ready to checkout.

  I was talking to one of the Elders who df me at the supermarket. We were talking for 5mins or so until he realized who he was talking to then he mumbled something about Satan and took off. Love relating that story to people. If they are rude to me in public then I respond in a loud voice with something like "You JW's can be so rude sometimes"

  why won't any jw call me?i always call them and they avoid me or meet me only for study and meetings.they won't even start a conversation with me on msn!i feel somewhat uncomfortable within jw 'friends'.i have prayed a lot about this all of my adolescent years and still no response.did this happen to you too?.
